Underwater Weaving Studio was founded by artist Erin Pollard. The studio creates hand-woven baskets that are best described as functional sculptures. The whole ethos of this company is grounded in striking the balance between tradition (her mother used to weave for LL Bean in Maine) and art. Their baskets and bags are undeniably chic and we will be hosting a three day pop up alongside some other summer delights! The entire collection is made to order so this is a rare opportunity to shop a large grouping of them in person! RSVP HERE

This is a BYO materials kind of deal but it is very low key, the idea is to create the space to explore not make a masterpiece. This is the perfect outlet for someone looking to try something new or dust of long forgotten art supplies. There will be coffee, music, and friends old and new. We may have meditation openers or special treats - who knows! Dates and sign ups here.

Thurs 7:00 - 9p
The Chicago art community is celebrated not only for its excellence but for its welcoming and collaborative nature. There is an openness and friendliness within the Chicago Arts and Lillstreet Art Center is the very embodiment of this ethos. Lillstreet started in Lincoln Park 50 years ago and has evolved into the thriving and dynamic art community it is today. Join us for a viewing of the new documentary, Dream A Lill - produced by Good Chaos in partnership with the Lillstreet team. Following the viewing we will have a lively discussion around art and community with Lillstreet’s Director of Ceramics Programming, Kirin Kane, and showcase the work of one of their artists in residence. The night will culminate in a collaborative project that will be exhibited at Pallas Studio for the following weeks.
We will serve drinks and a creative take on movie concessions. The event is free to attend but space is limited so please let us know if your plans change! Tickets here

Belts and scarves are equally compelling and confounding. They can add structure, color, texture, and endless style to any outfit yet they are often the last thing you feel inspired to incorporate when getting dressed. This can be because it feel intimidating or "outside the box" when it comes to your normal dressing but is more likely that you haven't spent the time to explore it more freely.
Enter Annie Peck, a force of creativity and possibility. Her styling seeks not to mimic trends but to leverage self expression. She gives permission to try new things in the name of experimentation - allowing the result to unfold authentically and not be taken too seriously. Annie will walk us through some demos of how to use belts and scarves and then we will get to try for ourselves with her thoughtfully collected set of silk scarves and beautiful belts. Tickets here
